Green politics

Economical development must take into consideration environmental protection, and this idea is accepted globally. But the integration of the principles of sustainable development is a problem in many countries, and also Romania. There is the lack of preoccupation of the decision makers regarding environmental protection reflected starting with the electoral platforms. Moreover, there is the lack of environmental expertise and initiative among deputes.

The “Think Green Politics” communication project set a goal to raise awareness to the members of parliament that there are environmental problems in Romania and that they are aggravating. Even more than this, they inevitably have economical, social and public health implication, and this should be a strong reason to take them extremely seriously in the political medium of decision makers and not only as a sounds good electoral slogan.

It was required that the members of parliament take into consideration the potential impact on the environment of each economical project and to think twice before deciding on such projects. Graphic Line supported "Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe", "TERRA Mileniul IIII" and „ALMA-RO Association” in this concentrated effort to remold perceptions on the environmental issues and to change direction of the specialized political speech. The „Think Green Politics” campaign illustrated by Graphic Line follows truthfully the ecological message that was desired to disseminate. We chose a metaphorically suggestive visual approach which is dominated by natural environment and open spaces that stimulates a green vision.
